Series Description

Henry Tran’s first fine art monograph from his studio delves into the seemingly instinctual responses to fine art nude and portraiture imagery, capturing the relationship between humans. By creating a space of psychological safety, Henry fosters meaningful connections with collaborators - empowering them to express a full spectrum of emotions and vulnerability. His dramatic compositions, selective focus, and use of negative space lend his images a distinct, dream-like quality. This limited edition monograph is supported by dePAOLA Pictures, Leica Akademie USA and Leica Store San Francisco and will have its global launch event in December of 2025. Printed by Brilliant (Sally Mann, Ralph Gibson, Mark Seliger), the monograph features handbound bamboo covers with blind debossed titles where every page feels like a fine print.

NOTES

What drew me to you?

Gravity, curiosity, or something I’m missing.

Is it our similarities? Is it our differences?

Am I searching for something we have in common or complementary?

What is it that connects us?

What is hidden in the negative space that connects us?

Do we explore this perceived void to fill a void within ourselves?
